- Whos Covering Action Sports?

- Action sports is the redheaded step child of the sports media
industry. There is no clear leader who can claim to be carrying the
torch for action sports. ABC/ESPN provides uninspiring coverage
during the X-Games. FOX’s Fuel TV was mostly a bro-show than any
real devoted technical coverage of the industry. The Dew Tour and
Maloof Cup get little to no coverage from either network. With the
exit of GM CJ Olivares from Fuel TV one can only hope FOX will
devote more resources to developing true action sports coverage…
but don’t hold your breath.
